Book Making
We are a NEW camp. Our goal is to offer young capable hands the opportunity to learn by doing. The approach is to bring together real-world professional artists to show and teach your children the art of storytelling.
We will start with book making.
This is not a DIY camp. This is a camp that will accellerate learning by allowing the campers to have direct insight from those currently in the publishing industry. We are professional writers, illustrators, and artists.
Each day, campers will learn about the different pillars of the storytelling process. Starting with ideation, to the binding of the book. It will be a 5 day, intensive process that will push the campers to create a book that they will be very proud of.
1. Ideation
Author lead brainstorming session to kickstart the book making process.
2. Story Writing
A guided journey to take the concept to a full story.
3. Storyboarding
Create the construct of the pages with sketches.
4. Illustrate
Begin illustrating the story, one page at a time.
5. Colour
Add colour and give new dimensions to the story.
6. Bind
Complete the book and put it all together.
